Exhaust Wrap
- Higher internal exhaust temperature = Decreased density of gaseous molecules = Faster escaping gases = Improved performance.
- Reduced under hood temperatures.
- 1.5mm in thickness - easy to apply.
- Tight weave - Improving abrasion resistance.
- 50mm wide - Overlap wrapping potential = 25mm.
- Used for insulating all types of exhausts and high temperature pipe components.
Heat Treated Exhaust Wrap
Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 550°C, the fibreglass wrap is heat treated to reduce the level of volatiles and increase its weave stability.
Graphite Impregnated Exhaust Wrap
Our most popular exhaust wrap is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 550°C. The graphite impregnation improves abrasion and flexibility at high temperatures and being black in colour blends well with other car engine components.
Vermiculite Coated Exhaust Wrap
Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 750°C, the vermiculite coating adds higher temperature resistance as well as abrasion resistance.
Silicone Polymer Coated Wrap (Single Sided)
The water resistant silicone polymer coated fibreglass wraps (slitted) are used in many marine applications where the wrap might come into contact with water or high levels of moisture in the air. Suitable for temperatures up to 260°C.
Not suitable for wrapping around exhaust manifolds.
All our wraps are 50mm wide ensuring a possible 25mm can be used in the overlap.
Recommendations
When the wrap is in situ, we advise stainless steel cable ties are used to keep the wrap in place.

Shuttletex
Cheshire Ribbon also manufacture bespoke tapes for automotive racing teams and aerospace industries. These tapes are ‘shuttle’ woven ensuring the tape maintains the highest levels of integrity and are generally woven to specification using yarns which can withstand temperatures ranging from 1000°C to 1600°C.
